Teaching Philosophy

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
- Benjamin Franklin

My teaching style was developed and inspired by my most influential undergraduate instructors and mentors. I believe in using a dynamic and active teaching method that incorporates student participation into the lectures. This not only encourages students to engage in critical thinking, but also helps students solidify their learning and build confidence in their knowledge.

Student feedback from tutoring:
“Taylor was wonderful!! She was a great tutor and was so helpful in simplifying concepts that were difficult to get. She really worked and did extra for us, and without her, really understanding a lot of the concepts would have been more difficult!”

“Taylor did an amazing job as our tutor and I owe my success in the class largely to her! She put a lot of time and effort into her reviews and practice questions and it was very helpful.”

“Sometimes Taylor explained the material better than the actual lecturer. I looked forward to her tutoring sessions because she really helps to make the information make sense.”

“Taylor is a FANTASTIC tutor and teacher. She clarified concepts that were sometimes difficult to understand during lecture, and she was able to provide examples that resonated on a deeper level for the students. Taylor's tutoring sessions were instrumental to my success in this course, and I am REALLY SUPER GLAD she was available. I was never able to attend the live lectures due to other time commitments, but I watched every single one of the videos she recorded, sometimes multiple times. She really was a fantastic, invaluable resources for us in this course. I am so thankful to have been able to learn from her. She's amazing.”

Taylor is amazing! LSU is also very lucky to have her. I owe my course grade to her and her patience with us during tutoring session.”
